After an early start at the airport due to a strike (we arrived 3 hours early) we flew to Lisbon and took two trains to Lagos.
We arrived at our destination where our AirBnB host picked us up and took the time to give us a brief tour of the town.
Then, he dropped us off at our lodging where we got a room upstairs and his parents lived downstairs.
Probably one of the best bed & breakfast we have stayed at as our host gave us a detailed guide, booked stuff at a discounted rate and even provided some fresh figs as an added touch!
After we settled in, we went to the market to buy some groceries for breakfast and lunch, then headed off to Arc da Velha – a Portuguese tapas restaurant with amazing tapas and affordable prices!
The meal was to die for! We had 5 tapas, 2 bottles of water and a whole bottle of wine which all came out to 30 euros! Added that it tasted fantastic, if you are in the area you really should check this place out.
Finally we did a brief tour, going through the busy shopping restaurant areas where we wandered the cobbled streets, and took some scenic photos!
Tomorrow we’re looking forward to some serious rest and relaxation!
